Scleral lenses are custom-fit to your exact corneal measurements. This, along with the lenses' extra-large size, makes the lenses both extra-comfortable and extra-stable on the eye.
This will largely depend on the type of insurance you have. Not all insurances are the same. Some plans will cover the exam and the lens fitting, but will not cover the lenses themselves. Others will agree to pay part or all of the cost, but usually, after other treatment options have been exhausted.

Also, Brian in the optical shop is incredibly skilled at picking perfect frames that look awesome! The pricing of everything I bought, as well as my exam, was completely transparent and very well communicated. I highly recommend this shop for all of your vision needs.
